Hi again. So the new DA stuff is taking longer than I thought for a few reasons – including assorted render issues and my constant headaches from the weather going up and down 20 degrees every other day. Due to all that and more, earlier this week I started working on the main set for much of the time I have available and then taking like an hour at the end of the day to try and fix one of the DA renders and have that go overnight. I have one fixed for sure now… after having to replace the whole environment (which was having issues rendering properly); but I still have one more to fix and another to finish – if I even can get to that one. I will likely throw in a bit more time for those tomorrow if tonight’s attempt has something wrong with it – but I have at least one Xmas themed render ready… hopefully I will get the second one working within a day or so. (I would really prefer to get these done before Xmas and/or the weekend so people can see them at the appropriate time.) Sorry this is taking a while, but I really try to make the DA-specific images nice and a bit different from the stuff I usually make/post here.

I will likely just update this post when that happens, but I just came by to let you all know that I am working on both the DA stuff and the story set… just there is still work to do for both. In the mean time, the polls could use more votes and happy early holidays!

EDIT 12/23: New DA images are up – including two new Xmas themed images; check them out if you haven’t already! I plan to take the next two days off to relax and recharge a bit, but I wish all of you a merry Xmas and I will be back with a status update sometime next week. 🙂

Hi again. So long story short, I am a bit behind where I hoped to be due to me losing all my usual spare time last Saturday and having a rough few days after that. I sent out this month’s Patreon rewards two days ago and the Patreon mini-set poll is also now over. I won’t say what won quite yet because it was a tie between two options, and I am too out of it right now to choose one – I will do that a bit later. (I will say that the options that tied were the modern option and one of the more interesting fantasy options – so it should be unique either way.)

I am still in the middle of rendering the new DA stuff, and things are going well enough, just slower than I had hoped. The plan is still to have all this and the mini-set preview posted before the start of next week or so; and I am going to try and stick with that if possible. (It may go over a few days, but whatever – I also plan to stick to one scene in the story set, so it should be ok.) The polls are going well enough; but more votes is always good, so keep voting and check out all my preview galleries and/or free older story sets linked in the tabs up top if you haven’t yet! I will be back in a few days with something – either the new DA stuff and/or the mini-set preview.

Hi again. I just came by to post a little update since it has been a week or so since the last one. I sent my main Patreon rewards out last night, which was a bit later than I had hoped but that was mainly due to assorted technical problems and the fact that I expanded the story set to 52 images somehow. (This should not be considered normal, this is the exception in several ways; as I said before I was trying to make it special as it is the first chapter of the new story arc and I went overboard again.) There may be one or two tiny issues left that I may fix for next month, but I think it is quite good and hopefully those who see it will agree.

As for other news, I plan to update my Patreon page a bit in a day or two (adding one new reward, some other small changes); (EDIT 11/19: I have added a slight commission discount to all my main Patreon tiers, increasing with higher tiers; I also added that ko-fi button on the right of this page, if either of those interest anyone.) and I hope to have either this month’s new mini-set preview ready mid-next week or maybe a little something else for the off month from story sets.  In terms of next month, I will do another Patreon mini-set poll to decide the subject of that mini-set; so there is that if anyone is interested. (The mini-set for last month got expanded to ten images, by the way.) I have assorted other irons in the fire and such; but I have no idea when any of that will be ready. In the mean time, please vote in those polls on the right, and I will be back sometime next week with some kind of update.

Hey again, Happy Halloween. Quick status update for you all here on the main site. I just posted the new DA stuff, and I think that came out nicely, so check that out. As for the upcoming story set though, I have decided to delay posting the previews of that another week or so for assorted reasons.

A long time ago, Patreon charged for monthly pages at the start of the month and only then; so I tried to get things posted shortly before that to accommodate the timing. However, for quite a while now, Patreon has allowed the “charge up front” option, which is to say that you can now pay to get in anytime, if the owner of the page has that enabled, as I do. So there really isn’t much reason for me to push so hard to post previews before the start of the month anymore; as I tend to go back and add/fix things regardless and nobody gets the full thing until main rewards go out a little after the 10th or so of the month.

Long story short, I made the renders and went to do the final text last night and found something to fix in a render, as I often do. However, when I went to fix it I was reminded of how large and messy this one major scene location is, and of the fact that this will be a major recurring location in the chapters to come. I see nothing but trouble with this as it is in the future, and though I did get it working for now I may not be able to later when more things are in the scene. So due to all this, I decided to go back and redo that half of the story set; which is ironically not the location of the main content scene in the chapter. The main scene is quite nice, and I really like it; but I can’t leave the other half of the chapter as it is – it would be awkward and crappy to have to change an established location later on due to my limited render memory. (I can’t just post what I have since the second setting itself may change entirely when I redo it.) So I will fix this in the coming week and redo that scene/location – and in addition to that I will see about adding in a mini-scene to that part of the chapter that I mentioned to my patrons both a while back and earlier today with more detail. Very slim chance that one of the new DA images I posted is a tease for that mini-scene.

Anyway, sorry for the slight delay, but I think it will all be fore the best in the end; I want this first chapter of the new story arc to be good and this really needs to be fixed now rather than later. I should be back with new polls in a few days though.

Hey again. I normally try not to do this, but circumstances make this rather necessary. Long story short, my internet connection is having major issues right now and has been for the past few days. I called Comcast several times and apparently service in the area has been having issues for days and for whatever reason nobody investigated this yet. Comcast has no idea what is wrong (no surprise there) and can’t send someone out to check the lines nearby until late tomorrow, which may or may not fix the problem. Since around two days ago, my connection has basically been going up and down randomly, sometimes staying down for hours; and even when it does work, it is usually pathetically slow for some reason.

I am still working on the anniversary set, so it likely would not get done tonight anyway (but it might) – but even if it does get done there is a reasonable chance I will not be able to post it. I decided to come on and let you all know what is going on at the moment since my internet is working right now, and because I have no way to know when it will crap out again. I do hope to be back soon with the anniversary set and new polls, but just in case I am not around for a bit… that is why.
