Status update: 8/25 – Compounding issues, probable Patreon problem.

Hi again. So things have continued to be quite messy on my end – I got that root canal late last week, (with notable pain beforehand) and then had the base crown work done the day after, which left me really out of it for several days. Then today, I woke up with a wicked headache from the weather again… so shit has not improved much overall, and I am basically back where I started. As you can likely surmise, I have therefore not made much progress with renders and/or LITC 6 since my last post – so sorry about that, it will almost certainly get bumped into next month; but unfortunately, I think I have a bigger problem on hand right now.

For those who are not yet aware, I got an email from Patreon a couple days back that they are planning to very soon force all 18+ creators on Patreon to submit government photo IDs and pictures – allegedly at the demands of mastercard, their payment processor. This is a similar situation to a year or so ago when OnlyFans tried to ban adult content, again – allegedly at the behest of their payment processor… but at least they backed down from that since it would have destroyed them, kind of like when tumblr banned adult content. Allegedly, this is being done to fight ‘illegal content’ – but as most of you will realize, their plans will have a very, very minimal effect on that… while endangering/irritating everyone else; just like most video game DRM.

I could easily do it of course – but this is just the latest in a long line of steps against 18+ creators that Patreon has done… and honestly, I consider this dangerous and gross invasion of privacy the last straw. I never made much on Patreon anyway, but if their plans do not change, I will likely have to permanently suspend my page there; I cannot abide this sort of thing just on principle, really – it is just so stupid and dangerous of them to require this. (Or, it is just cowardly and weak of them to bend over for the credit card companies so easily and completely.) I did send them a long email today outlining how stupid and dangerous this decision was – but I don’t expect them to change their minds just because of me… however, if a ton of people also complain – then maybe they might go back on it, much like google and onlyfans did. The real problem with all this is that even if they do go back on it now, they have laid their cards/plans on the table – and it is effectively just a matter of time until they do something else to marginalize (or straight up ban) NSFW creators again. So while I would likely stay if they change their minds, I am definitely going to accelerate my plans to cultivate other options.

To be extra real with you all about this new requirement – when I first read about it, I was actually far more concerned for some of the artists I support on Patreon, rather than myself… which I suppose you can take several different ways. I have long heard other NSFW creators warning against leaning too hard on Patreon, etc (or any one thing) – for this very reason… and that is partly why I have my gumroad page, and others; plus, I have been considering listing some of my stuff elsewhere if need be. (To get more exposure, if nothing else.) Strangely, I just don’t feel overly concerned for myself about this – likely because I have little left to lose there, and I never made much with it anyway.

I have no idea what I will do if I am forced to suspend my Patreon page – but I can make my other content available via gumroad if nothing else… at least in the mean time. (All the mini-sets are on there anyway.) I was already in the middle of a fairly radical rethink of my whole project here, primarily because what I have been doing just has not really been working out, for whatever reason – so this actually may not change much.

In the mean time, I will do what I can for LITC 6 whenever I am next able to work on it properly – but as noted above, I can almost guarantee that it will get pushed into next month; for quality checks if nothing else. (I have forced myself to do a lot lately, when I have been far from 100% – so that means I have to go back later and go over it again…) As for next month’s Patreon thing, I will just have it be a choice of whatever mini-set for the middle tier again… if it is even still up at that point; I am not 100% sure what the situation is with this forced ID crap – but I have no plans to do it.

As mentioned last time – very low votes in the polls so far… so please vote in those; they are both things that I would very much like feedback on, as I have plans for both soon. 🙂

Hey all. I wanted to drop in with a status update, since it has been a while since my last post. Long story semi-short, the weather has been much better for a few days – and is allegedly going to stay that way for a while, which is good. However, I had a filling done back at the start of this month – but then it was bothering me, so I needed it redone last friday; which did not fix the issue… (and kind of caused a different one) so apparently the only real option is a root canal – and I need to go in for that within the next week or so as well. So… while some things are better, that have been issues still; but I hope that will get sorted out soon.

There is still a good two weeks left in the month, in which I really hope to get some of this work done. No idea what will actually happen this month, though – as I have said before; but I am currently planning on putting whatever time/energy I have into finishing LITC 6, rather than new side renders at the moment. (It’s been in progress for ages, due to assorted factors – and I really just need to get that done so I can see what direction would be best after that.)

Anyway, I hope to be back soon with another update – and with something more visual before the end of the month.

August 2022 polls?

Yo. So I hoped to be back earlier, and for the first two days of August it seemed like things were getting better – but now it is doing the super humid/stormy crap again. Besides that, I am still super out of it overall from all the assorted crap that has been going on… so much so that I am still making weird typing mistakes that I rarely used to. (I have had humidity/pressure migraines nearly every day for almost a full month now – and it will likely take a while to recover from all that and a few other things that have happened recently.) I have a whole bunch of crap that I want to do this month, but I need to be able to work on it properly – without causing myself significant pain… and that is just not going to happen right now. (Mostly just trying to think of new, good side renders at the moment.) No clue what may get done this month – but I will do whatever I can; I am just trying to post regular updates here to let you all know I am still around, etc.

Anyway – last time there were two polls; the first asked about major plot developments – and all who voted were in favor of major changes, which is what I plan/hope to do down the line… so that works well. 🙂 The second prior poll asked about what you guys wanted to see in an upcoming short story – and most votes were for “Funny/wacky incidents with my characters“, with a bit of interest for high intensity special events, and more extreme/darker stuff. This also more or less lines up with what I have planned to try out for the next story – whenever I can get the time/ability to write in large amounts again after I finish LITC 6. (Theoretically the weather has to return to normal eventually…) Thanks so much to all of you who voted – and it is good to know that my plans line up with what those of you who care enough to vote want. 😀

This time, there are once again new polls, as you can likely see below and on the right! The first asks what you guys think would be the best way to sort/separate renders into side render galleries here on the site, as I am still not entirely certain what the best plan there is – and the second just asks which type of the given hybrid girl types is your favorite. So… please let me know what you prefer with both of these – thanks in advance. Also, for those who made it this far, I may still do a gumroad sale of some sort a bit later this month, and/or early next month; we will really just have to wait and see what else ends up happening/getting done before then though. No idea when I will be back with another update, or what it will be; we will just have to see what happens – I hope you are all having nicer weather than I am.

Status update: 7/28 – Weather Issues.

Hi, everyone. So as some of you may have seen over on my Patreon page, things have been a bit messy since my last update here, and I figured that I should just go ahead and post another update now, given how shitty the weather has been the past week and a half or so. I am sure many of you are aware of the heat wave, and other crap weather patterns that has been going on – which combined with the high humidity and constant storms here is the worst possible thing for my headaches. For the past week and a half or so, I have been effectively unable to get any major work on all this done… and today is no different. This past weekend my head hurt so much, all day – that I couldn’t do much of anything at all, work or not. (I have had to resort to organizing and/or cleaning stuff at times, since when this is particularly bad I can’t even look at a screen.)

Usually when I get these weather migraines, it gets better once the sun goes down – which is when I tend to do most of my work anyway… but for whatever reason this time things are the opposite – which is a major problem. I know this is hard to explain to people who don’t have issues like this, but just to illustrate – right now, I have a mild headache and I feel like I got hit in the face with a brick (sinuses, probably – though my ears are also having issues)… and that is without me doing anything to make it worse. When the sun goes down, and/or if I try to do much of anything interactive/substantial with the computer, it gets much worse for whatever reason. Even just sitting here and typing this for a few minutes, I can feel my eyes and head hurt more – this humidity/rain is just screwing me over something awful. This is the worst/weirdest weather all year – maybe for a few years; I can’t recall having this problem for such a drawn out period… but there just isn’t anything else I can do. I have been taking excedrin migraine every day for a while now just to function on a general level – but that can only do so much.

Long story semi-short, LITC 6 will almost certainly be pushed back into next month (side render month anyway) – which is for the best at this point. I will still see what I can do in the few days that are left this month – but I am not going to rush things and make myself miserable (and/or hurt myself) just to try and make an arbitrary deadline I set for myself that got blown out of the water by insane weather. (Fairly sure I won’t get the chance to do much regardless.) Apologies, but this is way past anything I have control over – and as noted above, I have been unable to do much at all for a decent while now. Oh, that that one NSFW side render isn’t done yet either; especially since I had planned to put it and the other aside two weeks ago, as mentioned back then… but we will see what happens next month. (Further irony – it literally started pouring outside the minute I posted this.)

Hey. I don’t have much to report yet, but I wanted to stop by with an update, as it has been a while since my last post. I almost have one new side render done, unless I find something else to add/fix – and we will see what else I can work in; but I plan to dive back into LITC 6 soon – and put most of what I have left into that, in hopes of finally finishing it. When that happens, I will likely just post whatever else I have in terms of side stuff, unless I am really close to getting something else done. (I do also want to update my pixiv/redbubble again soon… but I have so much to do as it is – not sure I can/will get to that this month, but we will see.)

I also have to fight tooth and nail to resist going back and fixing/adjusting stuff I see in the renders of LITC 6 now… as it has been a year since I made them, and I have changed/learned a few things since then… but it is all likely stuff nobody else would even notice. (Artists are almost always their own worst critics… some of you know what I mean by that.) This is going to be a bit of a mess for all sorts of reasons – but I have fully adjusted my schedule to hopefully get this thing done at last… and we will see how that goes; but there are more renders in this set than any other story set as far as I remember. (Over 80 at the moment.)

Some new side stuff posted, schedule change for July.

Hi again. So I was mostly correct, in that I would not get all the renders I was working on finished by this point – and therefore I am making an executive decision and changing my plans for next month partly as a result of that. Long story semi short, I have tested my new Patreon schedule for six months now… and as of me writing this, there is currently no one left on the mini-set tier; so… that doesn’t really inspire any confidence, and/or make me really feel like doing another one in July. However, I have an alternate/better(?) plan prepared… although this is a bit sooner than I was planning to do this if the need arose. (I was really hoping/planning on getting a lot more done for this project this month… but the weather has been crap – currently a three-day code orange air quality alert active.)

I have gone ahead and posted the three (four, including the one alternate) new side renders that are done though to DA (I have extra crap to post to slushe since I am behind with those… I will try and do that in the coming days) – including one of the really nice ones that I did finish, as well as the one request I got back when I asked a few months ago. I also posted the second preview from mini-set 89. Hopefully those who read this and/or check my pages like those… I never really know. I will try and finish/fix the other renders as soon as possible, and post what remains when whatever gets done is done. (One I just don’t like enough, the others I needed more time with.)

My current/new plan for July is to finish the other side renders I am working on in the next week or two, and then do whatever I can to finally finish the compilation/writing for LITC 6 next month instead of working on a new mini-set. (Life and the weather has not cooperated this past month or so… but I think I may as well just buck the format to get this thing finished, if that is what it takes.) I will just have the middle Patreon tier be a choice of whatever mini-set you want again… and at this moment, this is a one off exception from my updated schedule. However – if support continues to stay low, then something else has to change… and cutting back on mini-sets again is likely part of what would have to come next.

We will see what happens in the coming month or two – but things are effectively at the lowest point possible right now; which I shouldn’t have to explain is bad. (Yes, I know that there is a recession, and that I have been running late with the side renders, etc… but still.) It really gets hard to keep making things when nobody cares… and it doesn’t cost anything to vote, like, or comment. I’ll be back in a few days to go over the polls – no idea when the other stuff will get done; I’ll do what I can, as I have for… almost eight years now.

Yo. I figured that I may as well drop in and post a quick update again, since I don’t have the side renders done yet – but I want to try and post regular updates regardless.

The weather has been crap here; generally quite humid and it is going to rain/storm for a bit over 24 hours at least… so I dunno how things are going to go in many ways. I am hoping to get more side stuff done before posting what I have – but we will see where I am in a few days; as I really don’t want to push it back any more if possible… and I need to get started on the next mini-set around now to make a new preview. No clue what is going to happen this week – but something will get posted… though it may not be the double batch I was aiming/hoping for. (Not happy with one render, and another I keep trying to adjust.)

Again, thanks for the votes in the polls – but more is always better, for those who haven’t yet voted.

Hi again. Just checking in this week with a quick status update, since I doubt I will have the side stuff done by the end of this week, judging by how the past few days have gone. Long story short – it has been around 90% humidity here on and off for the past week or so, with occasional rain; which is effectively the worst thing for my weather migraines. I haven’t been able to do much at all for the past two days, and I have no idea what the rest of the week will be like – however, I feel quite drained already, despite not even being able to get much render work done… so we will see what happens.

Also, thanks to the handful of you who voted in the polls already; and to those who have not, please do so – it lets me know what you all prefer to see! Anyway, I hope to be back soon… but not entirely sure when I will be able to finish these other side renders at the moment.

Hey all. This month has been a mess… but I did get the mini-set done in time – which is at least something. It ended up being 38 images in total, and I really like some of the renders in here, even if I feel like I maybe could have put in another scene if my time/energy allowed. However, I wanted to get my schedule back on track… so I am cutting it here; and thanks to the assorted re-renders i did over the past several days, it came out great. The second preview of that is over on my Patreon page for all patrons for a month or so – and sometime after that it will get posted here.

In terms of other stuff, I should be back in a couple days to put up new polls, and I also did finally post the second public preview for mini-set 88 over on the master catalog, and back in the main post for that… for those interested. Sorry for the delay there – as I have said, things have been really busy/messy; and I forgot a lot of stuff over the past month or so… it is rather surprising that I managed to get this latest mini-set done in time, all things considered. I was so out of it around the middle of the month that I fixed something in one scene of this latest mini-set, while incidentally/accidentally breaking several other things – but I was too tired to even notice at that time… so I had to fix that in the past few days.

Besides that, I owe you all a double batch of side renders sometime next month… and that is next on the list of things to do – so I will get on that shortly. I just have been rendering the mini-set stuff non-stop for almost two weeks now, so I have had no time to make/review other scenes for a fair while. I am really hoping to get the side renders sorted out reasonably quickly so I can be fully back on track in terms of scheduling… but we will see how things go – life has not been cooperative lately. (Both in terms of weather, and assorted other things that needed doing.)

Yo again – I just wanted to post another update. So things have still been messy, and the weather was absolute shit last week, with a weird heat wave hitting the northeast… and that combined with me being violently sick for three hours last friday. Long story semi-short, I have made no real progress with the side renders yet – but I have made progress with the mini-set. I will definitely get that done in time… but I think the side renders will end up being late again; not even totally positive yet, just giving my current assessment of my status. I don’t want to post things I am not happy with – and I have been super busy/drained these past few weeks; so I just need more time with those… and it will likely be a double batch next month at the rate this is going. Sorry to those who were waiting on this – but I doubt most of you are surprised at all.

I should be back before the end of the month with another preview from this latest mini-set… maybe more if the stars align – but once again, fairly sure the side stuff will get pushed back. Do please vote in the polls on the right if you haven’t yet, and I will be back soon. 🙂
